Evan Mehlman, Psy.D., is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist and a member of the American Psychological Association. He has been practicing in the Weston area for over ten years. Dr. Mehlman’s expertise is concentrated in the areas of children, adolescents, and families. He also provides psychotherapeutic treatment for adults. Dr. Mehlman currently provides psychotherapy and family therapy for emotional and behavioral related challenges. Dr. Mehlman also works closely with parents in helping to navigate through their family’s difficulties. In addition, Dr. Mehlman conducts psychological, psychoeducational, and neuropsychological evaluations for Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), learning disabilities, giftedness, Autism Spectrum Disorders, and emotional/psychological concerns.

Deena Mehlman, MS, is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a MS in Social Work from Barry University. Deena has specialized knowledge, education, and experience in treating depression, anxiety, relationship difficulties, grief, adolescent troubles, postpartum depression, parenting, illness, aging parents, and divorce. She provides counseling and psychotherapy to individuals, couples and families. Deena has over 15 years of experience helping patients make positive changes in their lives.
Deena assists her clients in finding solutions to problems through the use of insight, empathy, support, and empowerment. Deena works with patients by listening closely and working together to resolve specific causes of distress. Therapy is geared towards assisting patients with understanding underlying causes of issues and behaviors, improving self esteem, and learning coping skills and strategies.
Kimberly Sharpe, Ed. S, LMHC
Kimberly Sharpe, Ed. S, is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor specializing in the treatment of children, adolescents, and adults suffering from a variety of mental health issues. She has extensive experience in the treatment of depression, grief and loss, sexual abuse and trauma, anxiety, adjustment disorders, oppositional behavior, anger management, substance abuse, and interpersonal relationship issues. Since the completion of her M.Ed, Ed.S from the University of Florida in 1999, Kimberly has worked in numerous mental health settings including community mental health centers, group homes, and correctional facilities.
Kimberly has had the opportunity to provide psychological services to victims of physical and sexual abuse, children exhibiting behavioral disorders (and their families), adolescents struggling with low self-esteem and academic underachievement, individuals battling addiction and substance abuse issues, and those fighting to overcome depression and cope with divorce and interpersonal relationship conflicts.
Kimberly utilizes an eclectic approach with an emphasis on cognitive behavioral therapy techniques in order to help individuals meet their personal goals. She takes pride in creating a comfortable, supportive, and empowering environment where individuals engage in self-discovery and positive change.
Orly Doron, LCSW, is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 20 years of experience working with teenagers and adults. In addition to extensive training in her native Columbia, Orly earned her Masters Degree in Social Work from Barry University. She has broad training in the treatment of emotional and behavioral disorders, family relationships, social relationships, and marital and couples therapy. Orly is Bilingual and conducts treatment in both English and Spanish.
As Orly’s career progressed, she became intrigued with the work of Aaron T Beck, founder of Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT). She received intensive training at the Beck Institute for Cognitive Behavior Therapy. She has also and attended numerous CPT trainings and conferences throughout the world. Subsequently, she has focused much of her practice in utilizing this psychological model in the treatment of emotional and behavioral disorders, as well as integrating the model into her work with families and couples.
In addition to her training in CBT, Orly has also had extensive training in marital and couples therapy which has been a focus of her practice. Furthermore, she has a keen interest in helping patients navigate through numerous types of relationships and other challenges that impact lives. Additionally, Orly has treated individuals charged with DUI’s, as well as, providing group therapy for these individuals. Orly is skilled in working with senior citizens both individually and in the group setting.

Noreen Commella, Psy.D., received her doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Nova Southeastern University and is currently a post-doctoral resident. She has specialty training and extensive experience conducting psychoeducational, psychological, developmental and psychosexual evaluations. She also provides psychotherapeutic services for children, adolescents, and families to help them overcome emotional, behavioral, social, and developmental related issues. Dr. Commella is actively involved in the training of clinical and school psychology students and serves as an adjunct faculty member in the Mental Health Counseling program at Nova. Additionally, she provides educational presentations in the area of perinatal mental health and parenting workshops at hospitals and other community agencies.
As both a clinician and mother of two young children, Dr. Commella understands the significant impact parents have on the healthy development of their children. Her passion lies in supporting and educating parents, especially throughout pregnancy and postpartum. Parenthood can be both rewarding and demanding and given this unique role, parents can greatly benefit from assistance in preparing not only physically but also emotionally, socially, and psychologically. Dr. Commella finds great satisfaction in helping parents find the tools necessary to successfully navigate any parenting challenge.
Mindy Ruth, MSW, Psy.D, is a licensed clinical psychologist and clinical social worker who specializes in the treatment of children, adolescents and their families. Dr. Ruth has experience treating a wide range of clinical issues including anxiety, depression, stress management and social, academic and behavioral related issues. Through guidance and support, Dr. Ruth strives to provide a nurturing environment where individuals develop skills to achieve positive changes and gain an improved quality of life.
In addition, Dr. Ruth is also specialized in psychological and academic assessments, which assist in creating an all around comprehensive treatment plan to maximize an individual’s success in academics and in day-to-day psychological functioning. .
Marcela Topf, MS, LMHC, is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who has been successfully working with patients so they can live healthier and happier lives since 2000. She received her first degree in psychology from the Pontificia Bolivariana University, in Medellin, Colombia. She later received a Master of Science degree in Mental Health Counseling from Nova Southeastern University in Davie, Florida. Her clinical training ranges between Psychoanalysis, Applied Behavior Analysis, Person-Centered therapy and Group Therapy.
The combination of Marcela’s professional and clinical background, over 15 years of teaching and her own life experiences, have shaped her approach towards treatment. She believes that every person’s life story is unique and should not be treated the same, therefore an individualized treatment approach tailored to each person’s needs is what works best. She has been able to help people navigate through obstacles and life transitions, heal from painful experiences and improve the quality of their lives and relationships. Her approach in therapy is a collaborative one, she will work together with you to help you understand the meaning of your symptoms, develop a better understanding of yourself and your relationships and find new alternatives for problem solving.
